The Company was established in 1975 as Budatej. It started producing ice cream from 1979. Both Schöller and Nestle owned the company in the past. Hungarian private investors own the business since 2009.

Consequently, over half of its total revenues are now realised from exports.

The Company produces all types (and flavours) of ice cream, such as moulded and extruded products, rolls, cones and tubs and sells them to Hungary, the UK, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Ireland and Poland, only to mention the most important destinations.

Its production facility is situated on a c. 33,000 sqm plot of land, located right next to Budapest. The nameplate ice cream production capacity is estimated at c. 20m litres.

Eispro has an over 9,000 pallets cold storage capacity (mainly deep-freeze), in the best possible location in Hungary (at Törökbálint). It provides warehousing, in and out moving, as well as commissioning services to third parties. Nevertheless, the bulk of the capacity is used for warehousing its own ice cream products.
